Spit Curl Jess Gelding Tops Wednesday Remington Training Races

Jess Cuz Im Perfect wins the seventh schooling race by 1 1/2 lengths

Eleven 250-yard training races were held at Remington Park on Wednesday.

Jess Cuz Im Perfect, a gelded son of Spit Curl Jess owned by Hector Estrada of Tulsa, Oklahoma, recorded the fastest time from 11 training races Wednesday at Remington Park.

Under a hand ride from Jorge Torres for trainer Stacy Charette-Hill and facing a 22-mph head wind, Jess Cuz Im Perfect covered 250 yards in :13.35 while winning the seventh schooling race by 1 1/2 lengths. The gelding's dam, Perfection In Brown, is a winning daughter of the First Down Dash stallion Dashing Cleat.

To date, 99 training races have been conducted at Remington Park, which is in the midst of its 50-date spring American Quarter Horse meet. These races are used by horsemen to prepare young horses for their career debuts.
