Mr Jess Perry Filly Tops Day 3 of Ruidoso Training Races

Jesst A Dream, a $38,000 buy at last year's Ruidoso Select Sale, posts the fastest winning time on Wednesday.

Edited press release

Ruidoso Downs Racetrack held 300-yard training races for 2-year-olds from May 9-11.

R.D. Hubbard and Grady Stowe’s Jesst A Dream posted the fastest winning time from 13 300-yard training races Wednesday at Ruidoso Downs.

Trained by Mike Joiner, Jesst A Dream won the third training race by nearly one length in :16.011 under a hand ride from jockey Cody Jensen. The daughter of champion Mr Jess Perry was a $38,000 purchase at last year's Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale, and she will likely make her debut in the May 27-28 Ruidoso Futurity (G1) trials.

Ronnie B. Keller and Ronnie S. Keller’s Rogue Cartel raced to a :16.044 time for the second fastest mark. A Corona Cartel gelding trained by Russell Harris and a $32,000 buy at the Ruidoso Select Sale, Rogue Cartel pulled away under a hand ride from Larry Payne.
