Fourth-fastest qualifier Tellereyematthebar outran his 19-1 odds to win Saturday's 440-yard, $235,600 Dash For Cash Derby (G3) at Lone Star Park.

Racing for James Hrabovsky and Leann Nalls, Tellereyematthebar defeated fastest qualifier and 19-10 favorite Politically Corrupt by a head in :21.658. Cesar Gomez rode the homebred Teller Cartel gelding for trainer Brian Stroud.

Tellereyematthebar was coming off of a second-place finish in his Dash For Cash Derby trial on September 23. The gelding is out of Eye Shine Special, a winning 14-year-old daughter of First To Shine and a finalist in the 2004 LQHBA Lassie (RG2) and Lee Berwick (RG2) Memorial futurities at Delta Downs.

Tellereyematthebar has won four of nine starts, and the $94,240 winner's share of the Dash For Cash Derby purse pushed his bankroll to $111,355, of which $103,827 has been earned this season.

Kid Can Dash, TLC Dale, Especial Cartel, Shez A Hot Valentine, My Moment Of Fame, Octonaut, Woop Dee Doo, and Patriot Pearl completed the order of finish.
