Making just his second official start, Ruben Garcia Montemayor's Eye N Capo scored a clear one-length victory in Saturday's Grade 2, $384,615 Dash For Cash Futurity at Lone Star Park.

Eye N Capo covered his 400-yard trip in :19.511 and earned a 99 speed index. Damian Martinez rode the gelded son of the Corona Cartel stallion Capo de Capi for trainer Adrian Huitron.

Eye N Capo was bred in Oklahoma by Dee and Betty Raper of Norman. An $8,500 buy at last year's Heritage Place Yearling Sale, he is out of Satisfeyen, a winning 8-year-old homebred daughter of Mr Eye Opener.

Eye N Capo has won both of his outs, including his Dash For Cash Futurity trial on September 24, and he has banked $156,546.

Duponte, a multiple graded stakes winner and the second-fastest qualifier, ran second and was followed by Political Mess, Paint My Pilot, Katharsis, Carmel Diamond, Cobra Stone, Murcielago, Flyin Eagle, and Strawflyin Tac.
