Zoomin Effortlessly won the $200,000 All American Gold Cup (G1) by a length on September 4 at Ruidoso Downs to defeat Jessies First Down and Politicaly Correct.

The Zoomin For Bux gelding was ridden by Santos Carrizales for owner Telesforo Perrett and trainer Edelmiro Carrizales. He stopped the clock in :21.091. The win pushes his record to 22-14-3-1 with earnings of $426,065.

“He was standing real good in the gate,” Santos Carrizales said. “He didn’t break as great as he usually does, but he broke decent and by the second jump he was in the lead. He has a big heart. He’s phenomenal.”

Zoomin Effortlessly last year won the Refrigerator Handicap (G1) and then took the Championship at Sunland Park (G1) and Leo Stakes (G1). He crossed the wire first in the Remington Park Championship (G1), his most recent previous start, but was disqualified due to a medication violation.

Bred by Tommy Charbula, Zoomin Effortlessly is out of the Royal Quick Dash mare Royal Quick Affair.

El Duero finished fourth in the race, followed by Bodacious Eagle, Apollitical OK, Mad About The Moon, Carters Last Straw and Glock.
