Boxwineizfine is Fastest Qualifier to Hobbs America Derby
The Separatist filly tops the qualifiers to the October 9 final at Zia Park.

The field has been set for the October 9, $200,000-est. Hobbs America Derby (G3) at Zia Park, and Boxwineizfine is the fastest qualifier by virtue of her 2 1/4-length win in the second of five trials on Sunday.
Ridden by Sergio Becerra Jr., Boxwineizfine went 440 yards in :21.438 while earning her fourth win in 11 races. Shae Cox trains the sorrel Separatist filly for owners Luis Hernandez and Regal Racing Stables LLC.
Boxwineizfine was bred in California by Vessels Stallion Farm LLC, and she was making her first start since July 23, when she ran sixth in the Grade 1, 440-yard Rainbow Derby at Ruidoso Downs. The filly has earned $116,453.
