TTT Kas, Miss Tee Lajolla Lead Louisiana Breeders' Lassie Futurity Qualifiers

The two fillies tie for the fastest qualifying time Friday at Delta Downs.

Jorge Meraz's TTT Kas and Jerry Deville's Miss Tee Lajolla are the co-fastest qualifiers to the May 19 Louisiana Breeders' Lassie Futurity (RG2) at Delta Downs.

Trained by Jose Sanchez and ridden by Raul Ramirez Jr., TTT Kas scored a wire-to-wire, 1 1/4-length victory in the first of 15 trials on Friday. The daughter of the Corona Cartel stallion Kas I Said So covered 330 yards in :16.809.

TTT Kas was bred by Rickey Thompson. The filly was making her first start since March 18, when she finished third in the 300-yard Mardi Gras Futurity (RG2) for state-bred juveniles at Louisiana Downs.

Miss Tee Lajolla recorded the same winning time with her neck win in the ninth heat. A $4,200 buy at last year's Louisiana QHBA Yearling Sale, the Tee Cos filly was ridden by David Alvarez for trainer Ned Goutierrez III and was making her career debut.

MIss Tee Lajolla was bred by Landris Guillory.

This year's Louisiana Breeders' Lassie Futurity will be worth a stakes-record $322,285.
