Memphis D Nasty broke sharply from her rail post and scored a wire-to-wire victory in Sunday's 350-yard, $50,000 KOFX Radio Handicap (G2) at Sunland Park.

Sent to post as a 36-1 longshot, Memphis D Nasty defeated Stick Shift Sc by a neck in :17.151 and earned a 101 speed index under jockey Jose Ortiz. Mario Sanchez prepped the 4-year-old mare for owner Esteban Sanchez Ruiz.

Memphis D Nasty's win was her first since May 29, when she won a 400-yard Ruidoso Derby (G1) trial at Ruidoso Downs. The mare was bred in Arizona by Giambi Stables LLC. Her sire, the First Down Dash stallion Fdd Dynasty, was the sport's champion 2-year-old colt in 2006 and champion sophomore colt the following year.

Memphis D Nasty is out of Jess A Cartel, a winning 11-year-old daughter of the Holland Ease stallion Corona Cartel. Her third dam, the First Down Dash mare Send Me First, won the 1996 AQRA Turf Paradise Futurity (G3) in Arizona.

Memphis D Nasty has won four of her 18 starts, and the $30,000 winner's share of the purse from her first stakes victory pushed her bankroll to $122,805.

Jm Miracle, the 2-1 favorite, finished third, 1 3/4 lengths behind Memphis D Nasty. Rattle N Battle, Captain On Takeoff, Gbh Gunsmoke, Tf Im That Guy, Llano Cartel, Pyc Gunslinger, and Rum Chata completed the order of finish.
