A full field of 10 state-bred 2-year-olds went to the post in Saturday's $123,900 Jaguar Rocket Futurity at Indiana Grand.

Second-fastest qualifier Apollitical Regard overcame a slight stumble at the start to win Saturday's $123,900 Jaguar Rocket Futurity (R) for state-bred 2-year-olds at Indiana Grand.

Ridden by Juan Galvan and racing against a reported 8-mph head wind, Apollitical Regard covered 300 yards in :15.655, and her winning margin was a neck from fastest qualifier and 6-5 favorite Be Affraid. Matt Frazier prepped the sorrel homebred daughter of Apollitical Jess for owner Duke Racing LLC.

Apollitical Regard is out of Cartel Regards, a 7-year-old daughter of Corona Cartel. Her second dam, the First Place Dash mare First Regards, won the 2002 Dash For Cash Derby (G1) at Lone Star Park.

Campaigned exclusively in Indiana, Apollitical Regard has won two of three starts and has earned $71,090.

Jetta Rising ran third, one length behind Apollitical Regard, and was followed by Hqh Fancy Pants, Perfical, Del Reys Leaving You, Fish Head, Wh Shez Jazzy, Pieper and Atempting Love.
