Wave Carver Filly Posts Fastest Remington Training Race Time

Sister Carver, a $45,000 yearling buy, is best on Thursday.

Edited press release

Rodney Verret's Sister Carver topped the Thursday training races at Remington Park.

Sister Carver, a sorrel daughter of Wave Carver owned by Rodney Verret of Sunset, Louisiana, posted the fastest training race time in the last of nine such races at Remington Park on Thursday.

Ridden by G.R. Carter for trainer Clint Crawford, the leading Quarter Horse trainer at Remiington the last two seasons, Sister Carver covered 250 yards in :13.457 while defeating The Lead Wagon by one length. The filly, who was racing against a 6-mph head wind, is out of the unraced 9-year-old Mr Jess Perry mare Jessa Leaving You, and she was a $45,000 purchase at last year's Heritage Place Yearling Sale in Oklahoma City.

Reminigton Park's next slate of schooling races will take place on March 8, starting at 11 a.m. (CST).
