Desirio Colt Tops Harrah's Futurity Qualifiers

Capitan Jimbob, a Texas-bred colt by Desirio, is the fastest qualifier to the Harrah's Entertainment Futurity at Louisiana Downs.

Felix J. Martinez's Capitan Jimbob is the fastest qualifier to the March 22, $233,578 Harrah's Entertainment Futurity (G3) at Louisiana Downs.

Ridden by Modesto Pina for trainer Wendy Garcia, Capitan Jimbob won the last of eight 300-yard trials by 1 1/4 lengths in :15.676. The Desirio colt was bred in Texas by Robert and Stacey Martin, and he is out of War Silks, a winning 11-year-old daughter of Corona Cartel and the graded stakes placed Mr Jess Perry mare Dash Of Perry.

Second-fastest qualifier Together To The End, the 6-5 favorite, won the fifth heat by 1 3/4 lengths for owner Alejandro Moya. The homebred daughter of champion Inseperable was ridden by Eddie Sanchez for trainer Jose Sanchez, and he stopped the timer in :15.741.
