U R My Queen is fastest from 11 races.

Edited press release

Ruidoso Downs Racetrack concluded three days of 300-yard schooling races on Wednesday.

Terry and Irene Stennett's U R My Queen, a sorrel daughter of Walk Thru Fire trained by Trey Wood, posted the fastest winning time from 11 300-yard training races at Ruidoso Downs on Wednesday.

Ridden by Ricky Ramirez, U R My Queen won her schooling race in :16.098 and finished three-quarters of length in front of Pierre and Leslie Amestoy's Luminatre, who recorded the morning's fourth-fastest time of :16.213.

U R My Queen is out of Thats A Blazin Chick, the winner of the 2002 New Mexico State Fair Senorita Futurity (RG3) at Albuquerque Downs. The filly was bred in California by Jaime Gomez and was a $57,000 buy at last year's Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale.

The Stennetts, Wood, and Ramirez also teamed up on the horse with the second-fastest training race time, One Lethal Eagle. A daughter of One Dashing Eagle and the stakes-placed Corona Cartel mare Lethal Cartel, One Lethal Eagle won her schooling race by three-quarters of a length in :16.112.

Both U R My Queen and One Lethal Eagle are eligible to all three Grade 1 futurities at Ruidoso Downs this summer. Many of the 2-year-olds entered in this week's training races are being pointed to the May 26-27 Ruidoso Futurity (G1) trials.
