Rogelio Marquez Jr.'s Dashnunder Afullmoon outran his 28-1 odds to win Friday's $322,285 Louisiana Breeders' Lassie Futurity (RG2) for state-bred 2-year-old fillies at Delta Downs.

Prepped by Jose Sanchez and ridden by the trainer's son Eddie Sanchez, Dashnunder Afullmoon went 330 yards in :16.644 and posted a 97 speed index. The brown daughter of Heza Fast Dash's margin of victory was a head from fastest qualifier and 3-2 favorite Ttt Kas, and the filly returned a $59.40 win mutuel.

Dashnunder Afullmoon made her debut with a neck victory in a Lassie Futurity trial on April 28, and she actually tied for the 10th-fastest qualifer spot but won a shake with Fastdashing Lassie to land the berth in the final. The filly was bred by D & S Racing LLC, and she was a $44,500 purchase at last year's Louisiana QHBA Yearling Sale.

Dashnunder Afullmoon earned $161,142 to push her bankroll to $167,142 from two outs.

Shez Dead Serious finished third, a neck behind the winner, and was followed by Bureaucracy B, Jess Political, Miss Tee Lajolla, Tee Magica, Jrs Egos Runaway, Little Debbie D, and Eying Louisiana Game.
