Tempting Dash Gelding is Fastest Qualifier to Black Gold 440 Futurity Championship

DG Tempter posted the fastest time from five trials on Friday.

Fastest qualifier DG Tempter won the last of five Black Gold 440 Futurity Championship trials at Will Rogers Downs.

DG Tempter, a homebred son of champion Tempting Dash owned by Richard and Genevieve Hermann, is the fastest qualifier to the November 11, $282,552 Black Gold 440 Futurity Championship Stakes (RG3) at Will Rogers Downs.

Ridden by Mario Delgado, DG Tempter on Friday won the last of five 440-yard trials by two lengths in :22.024. Hipolito Michel-Valverde prepped the Colorado-bred gelding, who was winning for the third time in six outs.

Second-fastest qualifier Hot Dam Bam A Lam won his trial in :22.142. Gonzalo Gutierrez rode the homebred Captain Courage gelding for owner Gene Cox and trainer Donnie Strickland.

Hot Dam Bam A Lam was bred in Oklahoma and has won one of his four starts.
