Phantom Fury Tops Hobbs America Futurity Trials
The One Sweet Jess gelding is the fastest qualifier to the October 8 final.

Victor Lozano's Phantom Fury is the fastest qualifier to the October 8, $300,000-est. Hobbs America Futurity (G2) at Zia Park.
Ridden by Jose Enriquez in the last of five 400-yard trials on Saturday, Phantom Fury defeated fourth-fastest qualifier Brown Tres Seis by two lengths in :19.632. Jose Luis Muela prepped the gelded son of the Mr Jess Perry stallion One Sweet Jess.
Phantom Fury was bred in Texas by Eugene Therwanger. He has won one of four outs and has earned $22,164, and his resume includes a fourth-place finish in the April 15, 300-yard West Texas Futurity (G2) at Sunland Park.
