Political Attraction is Best in Black Gold 350 Futurity

Political Attraction won Sunday's Black Gold 350 Futurity at Will Rogers Downs.

Fastest qualifier and 1-2 favorite Political Attraction extended his winning streak to four with a neck victory in Sunday's $282,552 Black Gold 350 Futurity (RG3) at Will Rogers Downs.

Ridden by James Flores, Political Attraction went 350 yards in :17.394 and posted a 101 speed index. John Weghorst prepped the sorrel son of Apollitical Jess for owner Rogelio Marquez Jr.

Political Attraction sold for $10,000 at last year's Heritage Place Yearling Sale. The gelding was bred in Oklahoma by Ron Lyles, and he has won four of seven races and has earned $273,017. His win streak includes a 1 1/2-length win in the 350-yard, $214,000 Speedhorse Futurity (G3) at Fair Meadows at Tulsa on July 29.

Political Attraction returned a $3 win mutuel and teamed with runner-up Bad Neighbor, the 7-2 second choice in the field of 10, for a $2 exacta payofff of $10.40. Eos Trumpster, a 60-1 longshot, ran third to complete a $54.80 ($1) trifecta.

Admiral Sting, No Questions Now 15, Eos A Political Win, Tellem Im Rockin, Corona Razor, Mr Rushmore, and Paint A Candy Cat completed the order of finish.
