DF AJ Green Leaves sprinted to a 1 1/4-length victory in Saturday's 400-yard, $317,400 Remington Park Derby (RG3) at Remington Parrk.

Ridden by Omar Reyes, DF AJ Green Leaves went 400 yards in :19.281 and earned a 103 speed index on a sloppy and sealed track. Jimmy Padgett prepped the sorrel daughter of Apollitical Jess for owner Darling Farms of Lamont, Oklahoma.

"She broke really, really good," Reyes said. "As soon as the gates opened she was out there and I just stayed after her and she finished well.  She got the good start, finished well, and we got the win.”

DF AJ Green Leaves was bred by Kelly/Yearsley Equine LLC. The filly has won two of 10 starts and has banked $156,336.

First Of 15 finished second and was followed by Hot Dam Bam A Lam, EOS A Political Win, She Eat Fire, Cloud Ridge, fastest qualifier and even-money favorite Political Attraction, Express Train No 9, Olivias Jett, and VF Zeus.
