Lynnder 16 earned her first stakes victory in Saturday's 330-yard, $864,500 Remington Park Futurity (RG2) for Oklahoma-bred 2-year-olds.

Trained by Jason Olmstead for owners Tom Maher and Dick Tobin, Lynnder 16 defeated Jess Let It B by a head in :16.374. Christian Esqueda rode the sorrel daughter of Apollitical Jess, who was winning for the second time in as many outs.

“It was perfect,” Esqueda said. “She broke good. I was a little worried because last time (in her trial) she ducked out but this time she didn’t and she got the win.”

Lynnder 16 was bred by James and Marilyn Helzer. The $345,800 winner's share of the purse increased the filly's earnings to $354,746.

Temptingsecretfly, Jeaniologi, Memories R Golden, Tac N Dale, Watah Flash, and Koolnfabulous completed the order of finish. Charlies Fury and VF County Dracula were scratched.
