Acoronas Toast, a gelded son of Coronas Leaving You owned by Laura Estrella, is the fastest qualifier to the May 19, $359,715 Louisiana Breeders' Laddie Futurity (RG2) for state-bred 2-year-old colts and geldings.

Racing in the fourth of 15 trials on Saturday, Acoronas Toast defeated second-fastest qualifier Runaway Roulette by a nose in :16.697 for 330 yards. Eddie Sanchez rode Acoronas Toast.

Acoronas Toast was bred by Gerald Paul Vidrine and was an $11,000 purchase at last year's Louisiana QHBA Yearling Sale. The gelding is out of Toast Of Magic, a winning daughter of champion Toast To Dash.

Acoronas Toast has won both of his outs and has earned $11,400.

Runaway Roulette was clocked in :16.698. Jorge Linares rode the Sir Runaway Dash colt for owner Lorenzo A. Duran and trainer Rosendo Valdez Jr.
