Prospect To The Top Gelding Leads TQHA Sires' Cup Futurity Qualifiers

Kashman is the fastest qualifier to the September 1, $50,000-added final at Retama Park.

Five TQHA Sires' Cup Futurity trials were run at Retama Park on Friday.

Kashman, a gelded son of the Coronas Prospect stallion Prospect To The Top owned by Maria G. Medrano, is the fastest qualifier to the September 1, $50,000-added TQHA Sires' Cup Futurity (RG3) at Retama Park.

Racing in the first of five 350-yard trials on Friday, Kashman defeated sixth-fastest qualifier Rosearian by one length in :18.039. Roman Huerta rode the Idaho-bred gelding for trainer Yoni Martinez.

Kashman was bred by Dan Moon. An $8,000 purchase at last year's Heritage Place Yearling Sale in Oklahoma City, he has won one of six starts and he has banked $4,500.
