Quick To Flirt, a son of the Royal Quick Dash stallion Quick To Flare Up, on Saturday posted the fastest qualifying time to the March 17 Mardi Gras Futurity at Louisiana Downs.

Quick To Flirt, a bay son of Quick To Flare Up owned by Triple C Racing Stables LLC, is the fastest qualifier to the March 17, $310,466 Mardi Gras Futurity (RG2) for Louisiana-breds at Louisiana Downs.

Ridden by Randy Edison for trainer Jesus Garrido, Quick To Flirt on Saturday won the fourth of 13 300-yard trials by one length in :15.587. The colt was bred by Belinda Disotell, and he is out of Fasttown Baby, a winning 9-year-old daughter of First Down Jewel.

Second-fastest qualifier TF Lil Black Runaway won the 10th heat by a half of a length in :15.662. Everardo Rodriguez rode the brown daughter of Sir Runaway Dash for owner Runaway Racing LLC and trainer Lanny Keith.

TF Lil Black Runaway is out of TF Lil Black Oak, a winning 9-year-old daughter of 2003 world champion Oak Tree Special who ran third in the 2011 LQHBA Sale Invitational Stakes (R) at Fair Grounds and was a finalist in that year's Gillespie County Fair Futurity (G3). The filly was bred by Tate Farms and was a $120,000 buy at last year's LQHBA Yearling Sale.
