Everybuddys Talkin Upsets $206,853 Shue Fly Stakes

The Gonna Ro Sham Bo filly breaks her maiden on Sunday at Sunland Park.

Eric Pineda's Everybuddys Talkin, the third-fastest qualifier, broke her maiden with a three-quarter length victory in Sunday's $206,853 Shue Fly Stakes (RG2) for New Mexico-bred 3-year-olds at Sunland Park.

Ridden by Raul Herrera, Everybuddys Talkin covered 400 yards in :19.624 while scoring her first win in seven outs. Ricardo Armendariz prepped the brown daughter of the Real Runaway stallion Gonna Ro Sham Bo.

Everybuddys Talkin was bred by Derrell Riggan. The filly is out of Kat Kora, a winning daughter of The Trader's Echo (TB) who was a finalist in the 2008 AQHA New Mexico Juvenile Challenge Stakes (G3) at Ruidoso Downs, and she is a full sister to DM Ada Kat, the runner-up to Faith Mountain in the 2016 KOFX-Fox Radio Handicap (G2) at Sunland Park. Her second dam, the winning Dash Ta Fame mare Famous Poet, produced two graded stakes placed runner, including 2011 Zia Futurity (RG1) runner-up Caught On Tape.

Campaigned exclusively in New Mexico, Everybuddys Talkin has earned $112,335 from seven races.

Everybuddys Talkin was sent to post at odds of 7-1 in the 10-horse field and returned a $16.20 win mutuel. Daddys Blushing, the 5-2 second choice, ran second to complete a $2 exacta payoff of $84.80.

Daddys Copy, Flashin Cartel, First N Forever, Scooters Crown Jewel, Leftlane, fastest qualifier and 11-10 favorite Regard The Rose, Frangellica, and Jesse Klee completed the order of finish.
