Patriotic Games Wins $362,675 Firecracker Futurity

The First Down Dash colt gets his first stakes victory on Wednesday.

Sent to post as the 2-1 second choice in a field of 10 juveniles, third-fastest qualifier Patriotic Games scored a head victory in Wednesday's Grade 2, $362,675 Firecracker Futurity at Delta Downs.

Patriotic Games covered 350 yards in :17.474 under jockey John Hamilton. Eduardo Morales prepped the First Down Dash colt for owner Ramiro Jaime Flores Sr.

Patriotic Games was bred in Texas by Bob and Jerry Gaston. The brown colt is out of Miss Game Tee, a winning 13-year-old daughter of the Chicks Beduino stallion Game Patriot and a finalist in the 2007 Louisiana QHBA Futurity (RG1) at Evangeline Downs.

Flores purchased Patriotic Games for $38,000 at last year's Heritage Place Yearling Sale in Oklahoma City. The runner-up in both the March 21 Harrah's Futurity (G3) at Louisiana Downs and April 28 Sam Houston Futurity (G2) at Sam Houston Race Park, colt has won three of six starts and has banked $298,910.

FM Im A Zatanaz Too, the 9-10 favorite, ran second and was followed by Throw Th Dice, Moment Of Fury, fastest qualifier Parti Wagon, Deisel Freight Train, Iona EC, Boldt, Jess Mad, and Enid Girl.
