A $30,000 supplement, Joe M. Rios' Suze Returns on Saturday set the fastest qualifying time on the second day of Rainbow Futurity (G1) trials at Ruidoso Downs.

Prepped by Juan Carlos Gonzalez and ridden by Jaime Leos, Suze Returns won the eighth of 14 heats by two lengths as the 1-5 favorite. The filly covered 400 yards in :19.749 while aided by a reported 8-mph tail wind and scoring her fourth win in five starts.

Suze Returns was bred in Oklahoma by Flag Ranch LLC, and she was coming off of a second-place finish in the June 10, 350-yard Ruidoso Futurity (G1).

"She's just phenomenal," said Gonzalez of Suze Returns. "I always thought that 400 would be her best distance.

"I feel very relieved, especially with paying the supplement," the trainer added. "It's just wonderful. I'm blessed."

Suze Returns set the fastest overall qualifying time from the two days of trials. The filly has earned $321,618, and her record includes a victory in the April 14, 300-yard West Texas Futurity (G1) at Sunland Park.
