Legacy Ranch’s Wicked Affair, a homebred daughter of One Sweet Jess, posted the fastest clocking from 38 2-year-old gate drills at Los Alamitos on Wednesday.

Prepped by Terry Knight, Wicked Affair worked 220 yards in :12.3. The filly is out of Burr Cold, a mutliple allowance winner at Los Alamitos during her 3-year-old season.

The homebred filly is by One Sweet Jess and out of Burr Cold, a daughter of Corona Cartel and a two-time allowance winner at Los Alamitos for Legacy Ranch in 2008. Burr Cold is a half sister to 2010 champion 2-year-old filly Flying Fig.

Wicked Affair's second dam, the Strawfly Special mare Tender Flyer, won the 1999 Sooner Trailer Oklahoma Derby Challenge (G3) at Blue Ribbon Downs.

Five juveniles recorded :12.40 drills on Wednesday, including Los Alamitos Equine Sale graduates Budbreak and Stevieb Flashofcash, both of whom are trained by Monty Arrossa. Budbreak is a California-bred gelding by champion Fdd Dynasty and was a $22,000 buy at the Los Alamitos Equine Sale.

Stevieb Flashofcash is by champion First Moonflash out of the winning and stakes-placed Proudest Effort mare LDS Good Goin Gracie. The sorrel Utah-bred gelding was purchased for $18,500 at the Equine Sale.
