EOS Political Win Takes Dash For Cash Derby

The Apollitical Jess colt earns his first graded stakes victory.

Elite Oilfield Services' EOS A Political Win sprinted to a half-length victory in Saturday's $163,400 Dash For Cash Derby (G3) at Lone Star Park.

Prepped by Rolando Almanza and racing on a muddy and sealed track, EOS A Political Win went 440 yards in :21.397 under jockey Jose Alvarez. The Apollitical Jess colt earned a 101 speed index and banked the $65,360 winner's share of the purse from his second stakes win and first graded stakes score.

EOS A Political Win was bred in Oklahoma by Rey and Celia Nieto, and he has won his last three outs, including the 400-yard, $139,000 Retama Park Derby on July 28. All told, the colt has won eight of 16 starts and he has earned $309,520, of which $309,520 has been pocketed this season.

Stone Cold Leader, Cartel Cupid, T Velocity, SR Shambles, Krash Course, Lions Express, Ivory Noche, JCM Dashn Fast, and Ebrima completed the order of finish.
