Jess Send It Tops Wild West Futurity Qualifiers

The Corona Cartel filly is the fastest qualifier to the October 28, $136,850 final.

Keith W. Nellesen's Jess Send It, a Utah-bred daughter of the Holland Ease stallion Corona Cartel, is the fastest qualifier to the October 28, $138,750 Wild West Futurity.

Racing in the last of five trials at Los Alamitos on Sunday, Jess Send It covered 350 yards in :17.645 while defeating second-fastest qualifier Ladys A Cartel by three-quarters of a length. Ramon Sanchez rode the filly for trainer Paul Jones.

Jess Send It was bred by Turner Farms. The filly has won three of six races and has earned $43,994 while competing in Utah, Idaho, and California, and her resume includes a victory in the May 19 Hadley/Giles Memorial Futurity at Weber Downs.
