Field Set for Grade 1 Brad McKinzie Los Alamitos Winter Championship

The top five finishers from Sunday's two trials have been selected to compete in the February 10 final

The top five finishers from Sunday's two Brad McKinzie Los Alamitos Winter Championship trials have been selected by track stewards to complete in the Grade 1 final on February 10.

The field has been set for the February 10, 400-yard Brad McKinzie Los Alamitos Winter Championship (G1).

According to a press release sent by the track, the top five finishers from each trial held last Sunday have been selected by the stewards to complete in the final. The method of seleection is in accordance with the rules and regulations printed on the 2019 Winter Championship entry blank.

The rules and regulations state that "all horses shall be selected on a time trial basis, however should variable exist which would prevent this from being feasible, the stewards may then select the finalists in their order of finish in the trials.” The application of this rule was necessary, as the electric timer malfunctioned in the second Winter Championship trial.  

The top five finishers from the first trial were Zoomin For Spuds, Tarzanito, LD Is Back, Chance To Fire and Eyes The Favorite. The top five finishers from the second heat were He Looks Hot, Da One Two Special, Katies Easy Moves, Yanque, My Favorite Check.
