Raymundo Medrano and Sammy Valeriano’s Higheasterjet Handicap (G3) winner Jody Pops Zoomer heads the $20,000 Mr Jet Moore Stakes (G3) over 400 yards on Sunday afternoon at Ruidoso Downs.

Jody Pops Zoomer (Zoomin For Bux-Jody Pops Little Sis by Jody O Toole) is an early nominee to the $200,000 All American Gold Cup (G1) and could use the Mr Jet Moore Stakes as a prep for the 440-yard All American Gold Cup.

A member of the hot Toby Keeton stable, Jody Pops Zoomer overwhelmed the field in the 350-yard Higheasterjet when he drew away for a half-length-win in :17.518 for the 350 yards.

Jody Pops Zoomer closed out his 2013 season with a half-length win in the $394,306 Texas Classic Derby (G1) after taking his trial in track record time.

Darian Burt’s homebred Jesscuzican (Feature Mr Jess-Covenant Confirmer by Stoli) is back for another shot at Jody Pops Zoomer after finishing second in the Higheasterjet. The member of the Wes Giles barn was the 5-2 favorite in the Higheasterjet after being placed first in the $105,480 Bank of America Sunland Park Challenge (G2) after the first-place finisher was disqualified.

James Sills and Abelardo Flores’ A Toss Up (Sweet First Down-Shake Cartel by Corona Cartel) could be ready for a big effort. He finished fifth in last year’s All American Gold Cup (G3) on Labor Day weekend and then was off until May 30 at Remington Park. The Eddie Willis-trained gelding with $404,455 in career earnings won that $100,000 optional-claiming race by two lengths with a sharp :19.336 time for 400 yards.
