FDD Going Grand lowers Evangeline Downs mark for 220 yards.

After a fourth-place finish in the Grade 1 Refrigerator Handicap going 440 yards at Lone Star Park, FDD Going Grand cut back to 220 yards in the $20,000 EVD Dash Stakes on Saturday and posted a track record time at Evangeline Downs. Running for breeder Mercy Hinklin’s Horse Farm LLC, the 4-year-old FDD Dynasty stallion scored by a length and clocked :11.530 under Jose Vega to lower the previous mark of :11.613 set by One Swift Game last year.

Trained by Kenneth Roberts Sr., FDD Going Grand is now a three-time stakes winner with a record of 16-6-7-1 and earnings of $192,510. He is out of the Corona Cartel mare Cash Cartel.

Rosouti, a recent 220-yard allowance race winner at Evangeline, finished second with Scream N Eagle in third.
