Beach Bum Eddie, a gelded son of Escondido Beach owned and trained by Anthony Cunningham, is the early favorite for the 350-yard, $193,500 Miss Roxie Little Futurity (R) for Indiana-bred 2-year-olds. The fastest qualifier, Beach Bum Eddie has won two of four starts and has earned $28,620. The gelding drew post 7 and will be ridden by Cesar Esqueda.

The Miss Roxie Little Futurity is just one of five stakes scheduled on the eight-race program. Pistolpacking Pepsi, a two-time stakes winner during the current Indiana Grand meet, is one of nine state-bred aged sprinters entered in the 400-yard, $82,520 Indiana Championship Stakes (R). The 4-year-old son of Jesse James Jr drew post 9 and will be ridden by Jesus Beltran for owners Robert Ray and Ronald Brown, who also trains the gelding.

The other stakes on the card are the 350-yard, $133,160 Governor's Stakes for 2-year-olds; the 400-yard, $120,200 Sterlie Bertram Memorial Stakes (R) for Indiana-bred 3-year-olds; and the 400-yard, $125,000 QHRAI Derby for 3-year-olds.

Wrangler Racing Ace Denis Blake will be on hand to distribute $2 wagering vouchers, courtesy of the Quarter Horse Racing Association of Indiana. Blake will also answer questions and provide handicapping advice at a booth set up near the track's winner's circle.

QHRAI will also sponsor a long-sleeve t-shirt giveaway. Also, every time one of Indiana Grand's top four Quarter Horse jockeys wins a race, QHRAI will conduct a drawing for a $20 wagering voucher.
