AJs High to Face State-Breds in Mr Jet Moore

The $70,000 Oklahoma-bred race shares the Thursday Remington Park bill with the 870-yard Pauls Valley Stakes.


Michael Teel's AJs High will face Oklahoma-breds in Friday's Mr Jet Moore Stakes at Remington Park.

Michael Teel’s AJs High, a graded stakes winner during the current meet, drew post 10 for Thursday’s 350-yard, $70,000 Mr Jet Moore Stakes (RG3) for Oklahoma-breds at Remington Park.

A homebred 4-year-old son of Apollitical Jess trained by Charley Hunt, AJs High is coming off of a nose victory at odds of 11-1 in the 350-yard, $50,000 Eastex Stakes (G3) on March 13. All told, the gelding has earned $363,169 from 14 outs, and his nine wins include six stakes victories.

Stormy Smith will ride AJs High in the Mr Jet Moore. The gelding’s nine opponents include Win Rabbits Fly, a 7-year-old Fly Jess Fly gelding owned and trained by Miguel Banuelos. Win Rabbits Fly made his season debut with a half-length victory in the 250-yard, $70,000 Mighty Deck Three Stakes (R) for Oklahoma-breds on March 13.

Win Rabbits Fly drew post 5 and will be ridden by Daniel Torres.

Pauls Valley Stakes
Kharlottie Grace Urschel’s CR Tuckernuck will make his 5-year-old debut in Thursday’s 870-yard, $50,000 Pauls Valley Stakes (G3).

Trained by Stacey Capps, CR Tuckernuck brings in a three-race win streak that includes a wire-to-wire victory in the November 7, $125,000 Zoetis Distance Challenge Championship (G1) at Lone Star Park. The gelded son of Jet Black Patriot drew post 2 and will be ridden by Ricky Ramirez.

Bullard Farms’ Fire On The Fly, a homebred 6-year-old Jet Cartel gelding trained by Tommy Bullard, is coming off of a Louisiana Downs winter campaign during he won both of his starts at the 870 distance, including the January 9, $15,000 Marathon Stakes. Fire On The Fly drew post 5 and will be ridden by Donell Blake in the Pauls Valley.
