Two Dozen State-Bred Juveniles in NM Breeders’ Futurity Trials

KG MIracle looks to break maiden in the second of three 350-yard trials Friday at SunRay Park.

Twenty-four state-bred 2-year-olds have been entered in Friday's 350-yard New Mexico Breeders' Futurity trials at SunRay Park.

A total of 24 state-bred 2-year-olds has been entered in Friday’s New Mexico Breeders’ Futurity (RG3) trials at SunRay Park.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will meet in the May 15, $50,000-added New Mexico Breeders’ Futurity final.

KG Miracle, a full brother to 2015 New Mexico Breeders’ Futurity winner RG Miracle, drew post 3 and will be ridden by Jose Luis Enriquez in the second of three 350-yard trials. A homebred son of Hearts Miracle trained by Ken Grisham for Shirley Grisham of Albuquerque, KG Miracle has banked $596 from two outs at Sunland Park.

Ken Grisham will also send out Genuine High, a homebred gelding by Buildemhigh, for owner Edilberto Estrada. Genuine High made his debut with a third-place finish in a 300-yard New Mexican Spring Futurity (RG2) trial at Sunland on April 8.

Enriquez will ride Genuine High from post 7 in the third heat.
