A Revenant, the fastest overall qualifier from two days of trials, drew post 10 for Sunday's 400-yard, $1-million Rainbow Futurity (G1) at Ruidoso Downs.

Trained by Mike Joiner for owners R.D. Hubbard, Johnny Cope, Rafter W Stables and Henry "Butch" Southway, A Revenant is coming off of a one-length victory in the fifth of 15 trials on July 8, the first day of Rainbow Futurity trials. The Mr Jess Perry colt has earned $184,800 from three starts, and his record includes a second-place finish, a head behind winner Apolltical Chad, in the 350-yard, $1-million Ruidoso Futurity (G1) on June 12.

A Revenant will be ridden by Cody Jensen in the Rainbow Futurity final.

Joiner will also send out two undefeated 2-year-olds, Drinkin Class and Ultimate Return, both of whom were ridden by Jensen in their trials and will have different riders for the final. A son of the Grade 1-winning Mr Jess Perry stallion High Rate Of Return racing for the High Rate Partners and a $16,000 buy at last year's Heritage Place Yearling Sale, Ultimate Return has won both of his outs, including a Rainbow Futurity trial on July 9.

Ultimate Return drew post 6 and will be ridden by Salvador Martinez.

Drinkin Class is a bay son of the Mr Jess Perry stallion One Sweet Jess owned by Joe David Yates, Richard Young, William Reeder, and Marc Jungers. A $50,000 purchase at last year's Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale whose dam, the unraced Separatist mare Burnin Bye, is a full sister to stakes winner and 2007 All American Futurity (G1) finalist Strong Hope, Drinkin Class has won both of his starts, including a Rainbow Futurity trial as the odds-on favorite on July 8.

Joe Badilla Jr. will ride Drinkin Class from post 8.
