The San Antonio-area track's summer Quarter Horse meet runs through August 13.

Retama Park opens its 2016 American Quarter Horse meet on Friday. The 20-date season runs Fridays and Saturdays through August 13.

A full field of 10 fillies and mares, headed by defending champion Msg Image Of Sixes, has been entered in the 350-yard, $20,000 Selma Stakes, as Retama Park opens its 20-date American Quarter Horse meet on Friday.

A 5-year-old Streakin Sixes mare racing for Pedro Gallegos from the barn of trainer John Foutch, Msg Image Of Sixes will be making her first official start since January 30, when she finished sixth in the 350-yard, $15,000 Swift Stakes at Louisiana Downs. The mare has earned $15,835 from three outs at Retama, and her record at the track includes a victory in last year’s Selma Stakes.

Msg Image Of Sixes drew post 5 and will be ridden by Isaac Chapa.
