Mavara Vegas is Morning-Line Choice for Indiana Grand Classic
The stakes-winning mare draws post 2 at Indiana Grand on Saturday.

Alejandro Medina’s Mavara Vegas, a 4-year-old daughter of FDD Dynasty trained by Sacramento Chavez, is the 6-5 morning-line favorite for Saturday’s 400-yard, $49,680 Indiana Grand Classic Stakes for fillies and mares at Indiana Grand.
Mavara Vegas returns to Indiana from Remington Park, where the mare ran third, a neck behind winner Candy Cartels Cat, in the 350-yard, $50,000 Decketta Stakes (G3) for distaffers on April 2. Mavara Vegas drew post 2 and will be ridden by Alejandro Luna.

Also on Saturday, a total of 26 sophomores has been entered in three 400-yard Indiana Grand QHRAI Derby trials.
Who Jack, a sorrel son of Jumpn trained by Ricardo Martinez for owner Eulice Pujol, drew post 7 and will be ridden by Osdany Leal in the third heat. The gelding has won two of his three starts since he was claimed for $5,000 at Fair Grounds Racecourse in September, including the January 17, 350-yard FQHRA Derby (R) at Hialeah Park.
The 10 fastest qualifiers will meet in the $50,000-added Indiana Grand QHRAI Derby final on July 9.
