Saturday's 870-yard, $20,000 Tricky Dust Stakes at Ruidoso Downs has drawn a full field of eight.

A full field of eight Quarter Horses and Thoroughbreds has been entered in Saturday's 870-yard, $20,000 Tricky Dust Stakes at Ruidoso Downs.

Rachel Marzac's Alsono (TB), one of two Thoroughbreds in the field, is the 2-1 morning-line favorite and will be ridden by Francisco Giles from post 5 for trainer Justin Evans. A 5-year-old Kentucky-bred son of Limestone, the stallion won two of his three starts at the recently concluded SunRay Park meet, including the 870-yard, $30,000 SunRay Park Marathon Stakes on May 6.

Alsono has won all five of his outs at the 870 distance, and he will be making his first-ever start at Ruidoso Downs in the Tricky Dust. Other contenders include Kharlottie Urschel's CR Tuckernuck, a Grade 1-winning 5-year-old Jet Black Patriot gelding trained by Stacey Capps. CR Tuckernuck was Grade 3 placed during the Remington Park spring meet, and his four wins in eight starts at the 870 trip include a wire-to-wire victory in last year's $150,000 Zoetis Distance Challenge Championship (G1) at Lone Star Park.

The complete lineup, in post position order including jockey assignments and morning-line odds:
CJs Rocksolid (J.R. Valenzuela), 5-1
Daring And Dashing (Tanner Thedford), 5-2
Ocean Smoke (Jose Enrique Ortiz), 12-1
Smokn On Bye (Salvador Martinez), 12-1
Alsono (TB) (Francisco Giles), 2-1
Master Time (TB) (Jesiere Medina), 20-1
Cr Tuckernuck (Ricky Ramirez), 9-2
