Valid Expectations Draws Rail Post for Harrah's Futurity

The fastest qualifier returns in Wednesday's 300-yard, $263,000 final at Louisiana Downs.

A full field of 10 juveniles has been entered back in Wednesday's Grade 3 Harrah's Entertainment Futurity at Louisiana Downs.

Valid Expectations, a homebred Jet Black Patriot filly racing for Mercy Hinklin’s Horse Farm LLC, is one of 10 juveniles entered back in Wednesday’s 300-yard, $263,000 Harrah’s Entertainment Futurity (G3) at Louisiana Downs.

The fastest qualifier, Valid Expectations made her debut with a dominating 3 3/4-length victory in the fourth of nine trials on March 1. The filly drew post 1 and will be ridden by Donald Watson for trainer Kenneth Roberts Sr. in the Harrah’s Futurity final.

Ardor, the second-fastest qualifier, won the third trial by 3 1/4-lengths at odds of 32-1. A son of Ivory James trained by Jorge Luis Barrera for owner JF Racing & Farm LLC, the gelding drew post 2 and will be ridden by Ricky Ramirez.
