The multiple graded stakes winning filly returns Saturday at Delta Downs.

Bobby D. Cox's Jessa Louisiana Zoom is one of nine state-bred 3-year-olds entered in Saturday's $50,000 Vinton Stakes at Delta Downs.

Bobby D. Cox’s Jessa Louisiana Zoom will make her 3-year-old debut in Saturday’s 400-yard, $50,000 Vinton Stakes (RG3) at Delta Downs.

A daughter of champion Jess Louisiana Blue trained by Kenneth Roberts Sr., Jessa Louisiana Zoom will be making her first start since November 28, when she ran fifth, one length behind winner Jess A Saint, in the 400-yard, $1-million LQHBA Futurity (RG1) at Evangeline Downs. The filly has earned $514,553 from six outs, and her four wins include victories in last year’s 350-yard, $635,000 Lee Berwick Memorial Futurity (RG1) and 330-yard, $274,000 Louisiana Breeders’ Lassie Futurity (RG2), both at Delta Downs.

Jessa Louisiana Zoom drew post 7 and will be ridden by Joe Badilla Jr. The filly’s eight opponents include Julio Rios’ Jess A Saint, a gelded son of Jess Louisiana Blue trained by Jorge Luis Barrera and coming off of a neck victory as the odds-on favorite in the March 20, $86,000 Mardi Gras Derby (R) at Louisiana Downs, and Douglas O. Traylor’s Telarosa, a sorrel daughter of Jet Black Patriot trained by Roberts and the winner of last year’s $304,000 LQHBA Sale Futurity (RG1) at Fair Grounds Racecourse in New Orleans.
