Will Rogers Downs Closes Meet With Stakes Tripleheader

James Sills’ Aberdonian, a gelded son of Pyc Paint Your Wagon and the fastest qualifier, is one of 10 juveniles entered back in Saturday’s 440-yard, $303,000 Black Gold Futurity Championship (RG3) at Will Rogers Downs.

Aberdonian is coming off of a 2 1/2-length victory at odds of 20-1 in the third of six trials on October 28. The gelding drew post 5 and will be ridden by Jimmy Dean Brooks for trainer Eddie D. Willis.

Fdp Rock Solid, a graded stakes winning Rock Solid Jess gelding trained by Rick Robinson for owner Sarah Huskey, drew post 10 and will be ridden by Agustin Silva. The homebred gelding has earned $56,012 from five outs, and his three wins include a neck victory in the 350-yard, $112,000 TQHA Sires’ Cup Futurity (RG2) at Retama Park in July.

Oklahoma Horsemen’s Association Mystery Futurity
Dicecapades, a Prospect To The Top filly campaigned by Terry McLean of Claremore, Oklahoma, will be seeking her third stakes win in Saturday’s 350-yard, $167,000 Oklahoma Horsemen’s Association Mystery Futurity (RG3) for state-bred 2-year-olds.

Trained by Gerry McLean, Dicecapades has banked $134,957 from six starts, and her four wins include two 330-yard stakes during the Remington Park spring meet. The filly drew post 6 and will be ridden by James Flores.

Oklahoma Horsemen’s Association Mystery Derby
Gary W. Harstack’s First Prize Diamonds, the fastest qualifier, is one of 10 state-bred sophomores entered back in the 350-yard, $54,000 Oklahoma Horsemen’s Association Mystery Derby (R).

A bay daughter of Corona Cartel trained by Gerry McLean, First Prize Diamonds has won five of her last six races, with her only setback during this streak being a second-place finish in the July 30, 350-yard Speedhorse Derby at Fair Meadows at Tulsa. The filly has earned $37,687 from five outs this season.

First Prize Diamonds is coming off of a half-length victory in the first of three trials on October 28. The filly drew post 2 and will be ridden by James Flores.
