Time For Wine Returns in Las Damas
The Grade 1 winner heads a field of 10 distaffers at Los Alamitos.

Pete Scarmardo's Time For Wine heads a full field of 10 fillies and mares in Saturday's 400-yard, $25,000 Las Damas Stakes (G3) at Los Alamitos.
A 4-year-old daughter of champion Mr Jess Perry now trained by Jaime Gomez, Time For Wine is coming off of a clear 1 1/2-length victory in the 400-yard, $125,000 Merial Distaff Challenge Championship (G1) at Los Alamitos on October 29. The mare drew post 8 and will be ridden by Oscar Peinado.
Other Las Damas contenders include Kevin Birrell's Bf Fooserageous, a homebred 3-year-old Foose filly who will be facing older horses for the first time. Conditioned by Matt Fales, Bf Fooserageous ran second, a half of a length behind winner Jess Good Reason, in the October 29, 400-yard Adequan Derby Challenge Championship (G3).
Bf Fooserageous will be ridden by Cruz Mendez from the rail post.
