Eye N Capo, the winner of the October 8, $385,000 Dash For Cash Futurity (G2) at Lone Star Park, will risk his undefeated record in the first of 12 Evangeline Downs Futurity trials on Friday.

Trained by Adrian Huitron for owner Ruben Garcia Montemayor, Eye N Capo has won both of his outs and has earned $156,546. The gelded son of Capo de Capi drew post 6 and will be ridden by Damian Martinez in the first heat.

Huitron will also send out Platinum Fdd, a graded stakes winning First Down Dash gelding campaigned by Jose J. Espinoza. Platinum Fdd won all three of his outs during the Delta Downs meet, including the 350-yard, $272,000 Firecracker Futurity (G2) in July.

Platinum Fdd drew the rail post and will be ridden by Martinez in the sixth trial.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will meet in the $317,500 Evangeline Downs Futurity final on December 17, closing night of the track's fall Quarter Horse meet.
