Ima Fearless Hero Returns in $177,000 PCQHRA Breeders' Derby

The 2015 champion 2-year-old gelding drew post 6 for Friday's 400-yard stakes at Los Alamitos.

Champion Ima Fearless Hero will make his next start in Friday's Grade 3, $177,000 PCQHRA Breeders' Futurity at Los Alamitos.

S-Quarter K LLC's Ima Fearless Hero, last year's champion 2-year-old gelding, is one of 10 sophomores entered back in Friday's 400-yard, $177,000 PCQHRA Breeders' Derby (G3) at Los Alamitos.

A homebred son of Valiant Hero trained by Jose Flores, Ima Fearless Hero made his 3-year-old debut with a nose victory in the first of four trials on September 10. Last year, the gelding earned $982,699 from eight outs, and he ended his juvenile campaign with a victory in the 400-yard, $1.957-million Los Alamitos Two-Million Futurity (G1).

Ima Fearless Hero drew post 6 and will be ridden by Cruz Mendez. His nine opponents in the PCQHRA Breeders' Derby include Little Talks, a homebred Favorite Cartel filly racing for Steve Burns and the fastest qualifier. Little Talks is coming off of a half-length victory in her trial.

Little Talks drew post 3 and will be ridden by Cesar DeAlba for trainer Mike Casselman.
