Trippys Royal Jess, a homebred daughter of Apollitical Jess owned by Abigail K. Kawananakoa, is one of nine 3-year-olds entered in Saturday's 400-yard, $25,000 Town Policy Stakes at Los Alamitos.

Trained by Chris O'Dell, Trippys Royal Jess has recorded second-place finishes in her last three races, including the 400-yard, $260,000 Golden State Derby (G2) on August 20. The filly drew post 2 and will be ridden by Eduardo Nicasio.

Lucky Seven Ranch's Lotta Blues Man, a homebred son of Favorite Cartel trained by Mike Casselman, drew post 8 and will be ridden by Cesar DeAlba. The 2-1 morning-line favorite, Lotta Blues Man is seeking his first stakes win of the season, but the gelding has earned $892,935 from 12 outs, and his six wins include a half-length victory in last year's Grade 1 Golden State Million Futurity.
