A field of seven Thoroughbreds has been entered in Saturday's 870-yard, $20,000 Wheatland Handicap at Los Alamitos.

A field of seven, headed by morning-line favorite Trickortreat (TB), has been entered in Saturday's 870-yard, $20,000 Wheatland Handicap at Los Alamitos Racecourse.

Trickortreat is owned and trained by Jose Antonio Moreno. The 4-year-old son of the Silver Deputy (TB) stallion Second In Command (TB) has won all four of his outs -- all at the 870-yard trip -- since he was claimed for $4,000 on December 16. The gelding drew post 4 and will be ridden by Juan E. Sanchez.

Saturday's nine-race program, which gets underway at 6:10 p.m. (PDT), also will feature the debut of Coronated, a 2-year-old Corona Cartel colt owned by Paul Blanchard of Albuquerque, New Mexico. A full brother to three-time Grade 1 winner Pyc Paint Your Wagon, Coronated prepped for his first start with a pair of 220-yard gate drills, including a :12.00 work, the fastest of 43 at the distance on March 28.

Coronated is the 4-5 morning-line favorite in the sixth race, a 300-yard, $7,725 maiden-special-weight dash. Oscar Peinado will ride the colt for trainer Paul Jones.
