Los Alamitos Racecourse will offer an all-American Quarter Horse program, headlined by the inaugural 330-yard, $15,000 Blue Grass Bounce Handicap for 3-year-old fillies, on Friday.

First post is set for 7:30 p.m. (PDT).

J. Francisco Diaz's One Sweet Runner, the fastest qualifier to this year's Governor's Cup Derby (RG3), is the 5-2 morning-line favorite for the Blue Grass Bounce. A sorrel daughter of One Sweet Jess trained by Lindolfo Diaz, the filly is coming off of a third-place finish, a half of a length behind winner Evil Genius, in the July 29, $203,000 Governor's Cup Derby final.

One Sweet Runner drew post 6 and will be ridden by Jesus Rios Ayala. Her seven opponents include Scholarly, a TR Dasher filly trained by Roberto Dominguez for owner Kolleen Ledgerwood. Scholarly will be shortening in distance off of her nose victory as the 9-5 favorite in the 350-yard, $25,000 California Breeders' Debutante Stakes (R) on July 29.

Scholarly drew post 3 and will be ridden by Jose Nicasio.

Friday's card also features the return of 2015 champion 2-year-old gelding Ima Fearless Hero. A homebred 4-year-old son of Valiant Hero trained by Jose Flores for owner S-Quarter K LLC of Kennewick, Washington, Ima Fearless Hero will compete in the sixth race, a 300-yard, $11,325 allowance dash for non-winners of two races in 2017. This will mark his first start since February 19, when he finished ninth in the 400-yard, $151,000 Los Alamitos Winter Championship (G1).

Friday's other allowance race, a 330-yard, $13,200 sprint for fiillies and mares who haven't won two races this year, has drawn a field of nine distaffers. The Parsons Family Limited Partnership's Thermonuclear Energy, a homebred 4-year-old Walk Thru Fire mare trained by Chris O'Dell, is the 8-5 morning-line choice off of her second-place finish in the July 29, $40,000 California Breeders' Matron Stakes (RG3).
