Sb Hoonigan Risks Perfect Record in $68,580 Beehive Futurity

The homebred stakes-winning gelding has won all three of his outs.

A stakes doubleheader will be featured at Laurel Brown Racetrack near Salt Lake City on Saturday.

Steve G. Berry’s Sb Hoonigan, a homebred son of Jr Dynasty Mountain trained by Alvaro Torres, will risk his perfect record in Saturday’s 350-yard, $68,580 Beehive Futurity at Laurel Brown Racetrack near Salt Lake City.

Sb Hoonigan has earned $30,308 from three starts, and the brown gelding’s resume includes a head victory in the 300-yard, $74,000 Hadley/Giles Memorial Futurity at Weber Downs on May 6. Sb Hoonigan drew post 10 and will be ridden by Santiago Jiminez.

Also on Saturday, a full field of 10 2-year-olds has been entered in the 330-yard, $16,870 SVLAC Futurity.

Masons Moon, the fastest qualifier, is trained by Luis H. Gonzalez for owner Kenia Pinela Marioni. A brown daughter of champion First Moonflash, the filly made her debut with a neck victory in the first of three trials on May 27.

Masons Moon drew the rail post and will be ridden by Alan Miramontes.
