Eyesa Shoofly Dandy, a Grade 3 winner during the current Remington Park meet, is one of six distance specialists entered in Saturday’s 870-yard, $25,000 Governor’s Cup Marathon Stakes at Sam Houston Race Park.

A 6-year-old son of Gold Medal Jess trained by Judd Kearl for owners Curtis Smith and Steve Holt, Eyesa Shoofly Dandy is coming off of a head victory in the 870-yard, $50,000 Pauls Valley Handicap (G3) at Remington Park on April 6. The gelding has won two of his three outs this season, both at the 870 distance.
