B And G Fast Dash Returns in Delta's Virgil Bond Stakes

The 5-year-old gelding will make his season debut on Friday.

Friday's Virgil Bond Stakes at Delta Downs has drawn a field of six.

A field of six, headed by Mo Racing’s B And G Fast Dash, has been entered in Friday’s 870-yard, $25,000 Virgil Bond Stakes at Delta Downs.

Trained by Kenneth Roberts Sr., B And G Fast Dash will be making his season debut from post 5. The 5-year-old Heza Fast Dash gelding has won three of his four starts at the 870 distance, including last year’s $50,000 Live Oak Stakes (R) for Louisiana-breds at Delta Downs, and the $30,000 Faubourg St. John Stakes at Fair Grounds Racecourse.

Donald Watson will ride B And G Fast Dash in the Virgil Bond. The gelding’s five opponents include Corona La Jolla, an 8-year-old Tinys First Corona gelding trained by Judd Kearl for owner Crown Racing. Corona La Jolla is coming off of a second-place finish, 3 1/2 lengths behind winner Stolis Pro, in the 870-yard, $25,000 Governor’s Cup Marathon Stakes at Sam Houston Race Park on May 6.

Corona La Jolla will be making his Delta Downs debut in the Virgil Bond. The gelding drew post 2 and will be ridden by Donell Blake.
