Jess Bein The Hero Headlines EVD Dash

The 4-year-old stallion returns in Friday's feature at Evangeline Downs.

Friday's $20,000 Evangeline Downs Dash has drawn a field of 10 sprinters.

Jess Bein The Hero, a 4-year-old son of Valiant Hero racing for Juan F. Martinez-Labastida, is one of 10 sprinters entered in Friday’s 220-yard, $20,000 Evangeline Downs Dash Stakes at Evangeline Downs.

Trained by Miguel Rodriguez, Jess Bein The Hero is coming off of a second-place finish, a nose behind winner Cute Mic Jagger, in the 350-yard, $25,000 Esplanade Stakes at Fair Grounds Racecourse on August 26. The Texas-bred stallion has won three of five starts this year, all against stakes company in Louisiana.

Jess Bein The Hero drew post 8 and will be ridden by Manuel Gutierrez.
